Wyclef & Lament in Haiti

What’s our response to the devastation in Haiti? How do we approach God in the shadow of the all the destruction, despair and hopelessness? How do we worship; How do we lead worship?

I say we follow the Haitians’ lead.

Listen to Wyclef as he recounts his experience in his home country in the aftermath of the earthquake.

Unexplainable? No. Just ‘spirit and truth’ worship.

Job 1:18-21 When Job heard that a mighty wind storm had killed his entire family, he grieved, then fell on his knees and worshipped. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord.

This was our call to worship in church on Sunday.

Amen, bro. We used Job 1 along with Psalm 42 and 121 as well. I’ve got a hunch those and similar passages were bouncing off church walls across the world this week.
